The 400X was the later, updated version of the 400 Zephyr, identified by its 4-valve head and higher 10.3:1 compression. It kept the same retro Z1-style naked layout, air-cooled transverse four and chain drive. This version kept the Zephyr's reputation for simple, reliable everyday transport.
